4-Quadrant Lead Bar Phantom
The lead bar phantom consists of the phantom body made of acrylic glass, in which the lead bars are embedded. The distribution pattern is four quadrants with parallel stripes of varying width and spacing. Other configurations are possible on request.
The phantom is used in nuclear medicine for evaluation of spatial resolution of gamma cameras.
Application:
- Constancy tests under Directive of Radiation Protection in Medicine (half-yearly).
- Determination of intrinsic resolution, spatial resolution and linearity
- Checking the correct image generation of gamma cameras with whole body device
- Decision-making before and after service operations
- Calibration tool for service engineers.
